Sixties
Wheaton

The management of sixties is making everything comfortable for Elvis Presley when he decides to pay a visit. He'll recognize himself in the posters, musical selections, and place mats. How he'll react to the smattering of posters of Marilyn Monroe, Humphrey Bogart, and Clark Gable is anyone's guess. But he'll know that the menu, mostly barbecue and mostly Memphis-style, was chosen to please The King.

The best appetizer is the tangled, slightly greasy but very pleasing onion-ring loaf. The main-course winners are the ribs, served wet or dry; the chopped (North Carolina--style) or sliced barbecued pork; the barbecued chicken; and the excellent tender, lean, and flavorful beef brisket. Heavy eaters can focus on the all-you-can-eat specials, including ribs on Monday and barbecue on Tuesday, both $10.95.
