Rotisserie-roasted marinated chicken with excellent fried potatoes is the major attraction, but there are other good choices. Begin with the thick shrimp soup with rice, vegetables, and a boiled egg, or the ocopa, slices of steamed potatoes with a sauce made of a blend of cheese, peanuts, crackers, oil, garlic, onion, and milk. Good alternatives to the rotisserie chicken are beef stew with cilantro in a cream sauce; shrimp in a lemony white-wine sauce; deep-fried squid; and sautéed trout with tomatoes and onions. Yucca and rice are satisfying alternatives to the potatoes.
