The house specialty is Cambodian fondue, a version of the "hot pot" found in other Asian cuisines. You are brought a pot of boiling broth and a platter of sliced beef, shrimp, and squid to be speared with skewers and cooked in the pot. When the meat is cooked to your taste, you wrap it in a cabbage leaf with the accompanying vegetables and dip it in a spicy sauce. It must be ordered for two and makes a thoroughly satisfying meal.
Cambodian soups, often combining unexpected ingredients, are particularly interesting and fresh tasting. Machu kroeung has a beef-based broth and combines beef, lemongrass, tamarind, anchovies, and eggplant.
Seafood is another good bet on the menu.
