The open kitchen and the busy tandoor are the core. From the tandoor comes chicken, lamb (both in chunks and minced), beef, and seafood, as well as chewy nan, the popular Indian bread. The curries are excellent, too, including the spicy lamb vindaloo and the Goan fish curry. Available on a recent evening was simla mirch, an innovation of green bell peppers stuffed with chopped house-made cheese, potatoes, pistachios, cashews, and spices, then grilled and served with a sauce. Try two southern-Indian dishes: masala dosa, a thin rice-and-lentil pancake stuffed with spiced potatoes, and uttapam, a thicker pancake made with rice and lentils.
At lunch, there's a bargain buffet, priced at $5.95 on weekdays and $7.95 on weekends.
